Cinnamon Babka Iced Coffee
Motif started with founder Michael Zabar and his wife Ellie making this exact coffee in their home. When a regular iced coffee with a splash of milk became boring, the couple started adding cinnamon to coffee to “spice” it up. Michael and Ellie started brainstorming how to make their coffee taste like a Zabar’s cinnamon babka (a favorite childhood pastry of Michael’s from his family store in NYC). A little experimentation resulted in an iced coffee made with the first version of Motif Cinnamon Babka Coffee Syrup, and just like that, Motif was born.
